100% Remote Contract Role of Sr. CDN/Security Engineer

Position: Sr. CDN/Security Engineer Location:100% Remote Duration: 12 Months Contract Job Description Minimum Qualifications • (Senior role =Min 10 years exp/ Mid-level 5-7 years) on implementation and configuration for CDN at the enterprise wide across distributed systems. Must be flexible with the schedule as our CDN releases happen late at night. • Experience with two or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., GoLang, Node.js, Python, Java) • Working knowledge in other CDN areas such as: Akamai, Imperva, Fastly, CloudFront, Cloudflare etc. • Building and maintaining robust automation frameworks using tools like Python, Terraform, GitOps, or other scripting languages to manage CDN configurations. • Configure, optimize, and maintain CDN solutions like Akamai, Imperva, Fastly, CloudFront, Cloudflare etc. to enhance the content delivery performance. • Understanding of search engine and performance optimization on CDN solutions. • Experience with monitoring tools such as Akamai TrafficPeak, Grafana, Splunk / MS Sentinel / New Relic, Akamai Metadata Tracer, ability to understand metrics and impact to system performance, and ability to build dashboards and alerts to ensure system reliability. • Must be able to work on various aspects of CDN like automation, engagements, on-call support, triaging/troubleshooting efficiently. • Understanding of core networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, TLS/mTLS, DNS, HTTP/s, proxy, load-balancing, WAF etc.) • Experience with API tools like Postman/Rest APIs and API acceleration/Caching patterns. • Implement and maintain Bot Manager and DNS configurations. • Optimize cache settings, routing rules, and security configurations within CDN. • Familiar with various distributed compute environments including client-server, VMs, AWS, Google Cloud Platform. • Implement security best practices for CDN configurations and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and security experts. • Must be able to provide CDN solutions/recommendations such as reference architecture, configurations, and deployment processes to enterprise solution teams. • Provide support for incident resolution and root cause analysis. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of CDN solutions into enterprise applications.
