GENERAL PURPOSE: The Network Strategy Analyst will be responsible for maintaining supply chain modeling to support the growth strategy of the Ross distribution and transportation network. Develop, maintain, and progressively improve the Company’s dataset supporting supply chain activities related to new distribution centers, retro-fitting and scaling existing facilities, transportation optimizations, and other capabilities to improve the supply chain.  Responsible for supply chain modeling and analytics, by gathering relevant data, completing accurate, detailed analyses, and summarizing findings.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:        •    Managing weekly/monthly reporting to monitor capacity required within the supply chain, and to identify trends impacting future capacity. Includes other data analysis such as hotel capacity, month end unit reconciliations, etc.     •    Completing the analytics/modeling to support ongoing strategic planning of the processing and storage functions to meet the changing business needs of Ross.      •    Working with Transportation to provide analyses, network and route optimization, and other Transportation modeling.     •    Manage large datasets through advanced Excel, Access, or other data analysis tool; basic understanding of relational databases and extracting select datasets with efficiency. •    Working with DC Engineering organization to define capacities by processing area and function.  Collaboration with other functional areas including DC Finance/Supply Chain Production Planning, DC Operations, Merchandising, Planning and Allocation, Finance, and Stores to identify and manage areas impacting the network model. COMPETENCIES: Analysis and Judgment     Communication Attention to Detail     Process Improvement Drive for Results     Problem Solving Dealing with Ambiguity     Business Acumen QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: •    Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in supply chain consulting, distribution or transportation reporting roles or related experience •    Experience with distribution center operations, network optimization, or strategic planning a plus •    Requires high level of confidentiality •    Must be advanced/expert with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) •    A detail oriented professional, who is thorough and circumspect in planning and reporting •    A keen analytical thinker, able to work through and present logistical and financial based analyses •    Strong written and verbal communication skills, to present analysis and optimization results. •    A high energy, self-motivated individual, who can be successful in a fast-paced environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA: No unusual physical requirements. Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
