As we continue to grow and expand our properties, we are looking for a remote Architectural Drafter / CAD Technician to join our dedicated team. In this fully remote role, you will transform initial architectural concepts, sketches, and specifications into precise 2D drawings and 3D models for manufactured and modular housing developments. You will work closely with our team to design, modify, and manage structural and architectural plans for our residential properties. You must be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of collaborating effectively across different US time zones Duties • Create accurate 2D drafting and 3D modeling using AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and other BIM tools to develop construction details, schematics, and system designs. • Develop detailed construction documentation including plans, sections, elevations, and specifications aligned with building code compliance and project requirements. • Utilize SketchUp, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max to produce compelling visualizations and presentations for client reviews and project proposals. • Support system design efforts by creating detailed drawings for mechanical components and structural elements using SolidWorks or MicroStation. • Assist in quality control by reviewing drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards such as Bluebeam markup reviews. • Update and modify existing drawings based on redlines and feedback from the management team Qualifications • Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks; familiarity with 3ds Max or Rhino is a plus. • Skilled in 3D CAD modeling and building information modeling (BIM) tools for accurate project visualization. • Experience with schematic development, drafting standards, and graphic presentation techniques. • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate concepts into precise technical drawings. • Knowledge of mechanical design principles and interior design integration is desirable. • Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects remotely while meeting deadlines. • Effective communication skills for collaborating within multidisciplinary teams across various locations.
