Job Description:
• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions.
• Prepares monthly and quarterly operational performance reports.
• Assists the Area Controller ensuring proper internal controls in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and analyzes financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• May assist the Area Controller in managing accounting personnel.
• Supports the Area Controller during the annual budget and forecasting process.
• Assists with periodic financial audits and responds to information requests from corporate departments.
Requirements:
• Accounting experience.
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP).
• Intermediate MS Excel skills.
• Initiative to thoughtfully and fully research and follow up on non-standard situations.
• Effective and professional interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience with general ledger software and other industry programs.
• Experience with Oracle accounting software.
