Role: AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Remote; Candidates must be in Detroit MI
Duration: 6 - 12 months Contract
Pay Rate: $65-75/hour on W2, Client will not consider C2C
Job Summary:
The AWS Cloud Engineering role is a hands-on technical position focused on day-to-day cloud platform operations including AWS account lifecycle management, infrastructure provisioning, compute pipeline management, security controls enforcement, and operational support. The hours include on-call rotation. Responsibilities: Infrastructure Operations & Account Lifecycle, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Security & Compliance, Monitoring, Cost Management & Operational Support
Required skills:
• Extensive hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure engineering
• Terraform (HCL) and IaC lifecycle management
• AWS core services: VPC, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.
• Experience operating multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations and SCPs
• Proficiency in IAM policy design, cross-account access patterns, and least-privilege principles
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Terraform Cloud, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
• Experience with Git-based workflows
