Description:
I am looking for a skilled typesetter or book designer to take raw text from my manuscript and format it into professional, print-ready pages. This is a Catholic apologetics work with a structured, logical style (examples of objections and rebuttals, lists, and categorized arguments).
Scope of Work:
• Start with a provided sample section: “Addressing Objections to the Papacy.”
• Create three distinct stylized layout options (different typography, heading/subheading hierarchy, spacing, numbering systems, etc.). Each option should look like a professional book interior “as if” it were ready to be sent to the press.
• Ensure formatting accommodates:
• Contents/outline sections
• Numbered objections with summaries
• Structured rebuttals under multiple categories (logical, biblical, patristic, historical, etc.)
• Clear visual distinction between objections, premises, conclusions, and rebuttals.
• Deliver clean, visually engaging, and readable layouts.
Deliverables:
• 3 sample formatted options for the provided section (to evaluate style).
• Files in a print-ready format (InDesign, LaTeX, or another professional layout tool) along with PDF proofs.
Qualifications:
• Experience in book design/typesetting (please provide samples of past projects).
• Familiarity with academic/theological or structured works is a plus.
• Ability to balance readability with elegance (this is a serious apologetics work, not casual reading).
• Strong communication for ongoing revisions.
Next Steps:
If this initial project goes well, I would like to continue working with you on the full book. Please include portfolio samples that demonstrate your ability to format structured or academic works.
