(Business Intelligence)_ Remote role

Job Title- Contractor- Software Engineer (Business Intelligence) Schedule- 2 pm-12 am 4 days a week ( CST ) (PLEASE NOTE HOURS) In some occasions, the time could extend up to 6:00 am pending load completion. That would not be expected weekly. Location- Remote Contract Length- 6 months Overview: The Business Intelligence Data Transformation (BIDT) and Data Movement (BIDM) teams are seeking a Software Engineer Contractor to expand capacity and ensure delivery of business commitments, including revenue-impacting initiatives. This role supports the operationalization of a cloud-based Lakehouse data platform and ensures enterprise data is accurate, highly available, and performant. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Support and enhance ETL and data load processes that refresh the operational data warehouse nightly • Ensure enterprise data is accurate, highly available, and optimized for performance • Develop and maintain processes for extracting and loading data across internal and external systems • Contribute to the design and optimization of data pipelines within a cloud Lakehouse architecture Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile (Scrum) environment • Participate in automated testing and test-driven development practices • Perform verbal interviews and data gathering activities to support preliminary analysis, application modifications, and enhancements within the Software Development Life Cycle, under limited supervision • Deliver small program changes or projects lasting 1 to 4 weeks • Modify existing programs that require moderate redesign • Partner with business analysts and customers to resolve issues and plan for future needs • Work with users to understand system usage and enhancement requirements • Analyze, design, and develop new application systems using technical and analytical expertise • Under limited supervision, create and modify complex application programs, including testing, debugging, documentation, and maintenance • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience
