Role Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and patient High School Math Tutor specializing in Calculus and AP Calculus (AB/BC). Your goal is to help students master complex concepts, improve problem-solving skills, and prepare for College Board AP exams. Key Responsibilities • Targeted Instruction: Deliver one-on-one or small group sessions on limits, derivatives, integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. • AP Exam Preparation: Guide students through AP-style multiple-choice and free-response questions (FRQs) using College Board scoring rubrics. • Curriculum Alignment: Sync tutoring sessions with the student’s school syllabus and current AP standards. • Progress Tracking: Provide regular, constructive feedback to students and parents regarding growth areas. • Tech Proficiency: Demonstrate and teach expert use of graphing calculators (TI-84/Nspire). Qualifications & Skills • Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven experience tutoring High School Calculus (AP AB/BC experience highly preferred). • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field. (High-performing university students with strong teaching backgrounds may be considered). • Communication: Ability to simplify abstract theories and explain complex math in a relatable, encouraging manner. • Availability: Must be available for after-school, evening, or weekend sessions.
