Chief Compliance Officer

Chief Compliance Officer   (Remote Candidates will be considered)     National Digital Trust Company (In Organization) has received conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to open as a federally chartered trust bank to provide a broad range of digital asset services.   We are building a specialized financial institution addressing the growing demand for digital asset services. Our primary business will focus on digital asset custody, providing secure, efficient custodial and fiduciary services for a variety of digital assets.  You will work with foundational systems and processes to help shape our operating model and influence how a new category of financial infrastructure comes to market. We know that winners win.   Job Overview  As Compliance Officer, you will work with all the various units of operation throughout the Enterprise and will be called upon to build and maintain the entire Compliance infrastructure for the Enterprise. You will be a point of contact between Management and the regulators. As such, you should have considerable skill and expertise in working with regulators, and have had experience in managing regulatory examinations. You will be called upon to lead a team of subject matter experts, managers and administrators in identifying and helping to manage risks throughout the organization, along with the Chief Risk Officer who you will report to.   You will be knowledgeable, decisive, and stay up to date with all regulatory developments affecting the bank. You will be a primary adviser to the Executive Management Team as well as the Board of Directors. Finally, you will be able to turn projects around in a timely manner and meet relevant deadlines. You will be responsible for developing policies and procedures throughout the Enterprise, working effectively with Internal Audit, and will oversee the BSA program and work alongside the testing function for the Bank.     Objectives  Proactively build relationships with regulators and act as the liaison for all regulatory inquiries and examinations  Facilitate regulatory change management within the Enterprise Risk Management Structure  Ensure testing is performed in accordance with OCC expectations and requirements  Ensure there is effective review and approval of marketing, advertising and general correspondence  Focused review of market commentary and sector insights pieces to ensure they are not considered research publications  Working knowledge of Privacy regulations   Implementation of the three lines of defense  Ability to write and clearly define Policies and Procedures  Implement and coordinate Enterprise-wide Compliance training  Chair the Compliance Committee and participate on various Management Committees, including the Ethics Committee   Attract, hire, retain and grow Compliance talent  Ability to work with Technology to define requirements and implement cutting     What you bring to our company    Bachelor’s Degree  10-15 years of progressively responsible Banking, compliance/securities industry experience required  An understanding of digital assets  Ability to drive change and influence others  Previous successful experience as a CCO at a significant Bank/financial institution   Master's Degree or Legal Degree a plus  Experience in BSA/AML    We promote diversity of thought, culture, background, and experience.
