We are seeking a talented Concept Design Contractor to support seasonal concept development and creative storytelling for a leading fashion retail brand. This individual will play a key role in identifying emerging trends, developing seasonal concepts, and creating inspiring visual presentations that help shape product direction and customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct trend and market research across fashion, retail, culture, consumer behavior, and competitive brands.
• Support the development of seasonal concepts, trend narratives, key themes, and product direction.
• Create compelling mood boards, concept presentations, trend reports, and visual storytelling materials.
• Translate macro and emerging trends into commercially relevant concepts aligned with brand and customer needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support concept development across multiple seasons and product categories.
• Present research findings, seasonal insights, and creative recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Stay informed on industry trends, consumer preferences, and market shifts to inspire innovative concepts.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in concept design, trend forecasting, fashion design, or related creative functions within the fashion, retail, or apparel industry.
• Strong understanding of fashion trends, color direction, seasonal storytelling, and concept development.
• Proven experience creating high-quality presentations, mood boards, trend decks, and visual concept materials.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong creative vision with the ability to translate research and insights into compelling customer-focused concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with well-known retail, apparel, or lifestyle brands.
• Background in trend forecasting, concept strategy, or seasonal storytelling.
• Experience collaborating with merchandising, product development, and marketing teams.
