Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is seeking a full-time Consultant with experience as a Credentialing Specialist. This work-from-home position is responsible for carrying out various day-to-day responsibilities that support the team with credentialing and compliance initiatives. The Consultant – Credentialing and Privileging supports VHA healthcare operations by improving provider credentialing, privileging, and Delegation of Work (DOW) processes. This role focuses on compliance, verification accuracy, and lifecycle management of provider credentials and privileges, and is ideal for professionals with 3 to 5 years of experience in credentialing or healthcare operations. We strongly desire previous experience navigating federal background investigation requirements, and particularly the requirements of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Responsibilities
Support and recommend VHA credentialing and privileging processes, including verification, documentation review, and compliance validation
Analyze workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks in credentialing and DOW processes
Apply critical thinking to interpret policies and translate requirements into actionable improvements
Track credentialing and privileging activities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Maintain tracking tools, logs, and dashboards to monitor progress, risks, and compliance status
Ensure strong follow-through on action items, deliverables, and regulatory requirements
Support Delegation of Work (DOW) processes and ensure compliance with established standards
Develop and maintain SOPs, documentation, and audit-ready materials
Assist in continuous monitoring, quality assurance, and audit support activities
Coordinate with VHA program offices and stakeholders to ensure alignment and information flow
Identify and escalate risks, discrepancies, and compliance concerns with clear supporting analysis
Adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy, organization, and accountability
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience with VHA credentialing and privileging processes required
3 to 5 years of experience in consulting, healthcare operations, or physician credentialing and privileging; federal healthcare experience preferred
Proficiency with physician credentialing databases and systems, including CAQH, NPDB, NPPES, PECOS, state licensing boards, DEA verification, exclusion screening tools, and credentialing platforms such as VetPro or equivalent
Understanding of Delegation of Work (DOW) authorities and compliance standards
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage and track complex processes accurately
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to follow through on tasks and ensure completion of deliverables
Experience supporting compliance reviews, audits, or regulated environments preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams), including tracking and reporting tools
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
