The Opportunity
I'm partnering with a category-defining DTC beauty brand to find their next Creative Strategist (Paid Social). They broke through one of the most saturated markets in consumer and scaled fast ($100M+ in annual revenue); now they're building intentionally for the next phase of growth, and paid creative is the engine driving it.
This is a rare own-the-vision seat: you set the creative strategy for paid and direct the creative team to bring it to life — concepting, briefing, and steering creators/editors/designers — not pushing pixels yourself.
What you'll own
- Paid-social creative strategy & direction across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest & beyond — from concept and brief through to final approval
- Briefing and directing creators, editors, and designers; reviewing footage and approving the final cut
- Partnering with Growth to design experiments, read performance, and iterate fast
- Building a high-velocity, diverse creative pipeline (creative is the new targeting)
- Persona & audience research to unlock and scale new customer segments
- Mining organic trends, reviews, and the competitive landscape for direction
- Building AI into the creative workflow to move faster and sharpen output
What you'll bring
- Ideally 2–5 years in creative strategy for paid social, in DTC/eCommerce
- A track record of winning concepts across formats, and the instinct to brief them clearly to a creative team
- Fluency in Meta/TikTok creative + platform mechanics (Andromeda-era targeting, hook/hold rates, creative velocity)
- Analytical mind + creative judgment (ROAS, CPA, CTR, creative-fatigue/iteration metrics)
- Real curiosity for AI tools in creative workflows
- Sharp project management; thrives in a fast, scrappy, high-ownership environment
