Credentialing Coordinator Non-Clinical - Health and Information Management - Job Description:
Under the direction of the Manager, the Credentialing Coordinator will coordinate, monitor, and maintain the credentialing and re-credentialing of Provider Applicants. This involves facilitating all aspects of appointment, reappointment, and privileging maintenance for managed care, medical staff, and non-physician providers, ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Credentialing Coordinator Non-Clinical - Health and Information Management - Responsibilities:
• Collect relevant and critical data to determine applicant's eligibility to be credentialed.
• Evaluate and review applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Gather and conduct primary source verifications of confidential healthcare provider credentials.
• Contact and follow up with applicant, primary source organizations, and contracted Medical Staff Offices to obtain necessary documentation.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all business, work, and credentialing information.
• Assist in managing the flow of information between the managed care payers, contracted MSO facilities, and Rush Health.
• Process and communicate all Rush Health practitioner additions, deletions, and/or changes to all contracted managed care payers.
Credentialing Coordinator Non-Clinical - Health and Information Management - Mandatory Skills:
• Three or more years of credentialing experience in working with a CVO or Medical Staff Office.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Echo credentialing software.
Credentialing Coordinator Non-Clinical - Health and Information Management – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Certification from National Association of Medical Staff Services (CPCS/CPMSM).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Accessible and responsive to stakeholder needs.
