Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, onboard, coach, and continuously develop the Oncology Medical Representative team
Set individual and team KPIs, monitor performance through regular joint visits and structured evaluations
Identify training needs and implement personalized development plans
Support talent growth and succession planning within the team
Commercial Strategy & Execution
Design and implement the district business plan in alignment with national brand strategy and oncology portfolio priorities
Identify growth opportunities across key accounts — oncology/hematology hospital departments, radiotherapy centers, and outpatient clinics
Analyze market data and adapt promotional tactics accordingly
Manage the district operational budget with accountability and transparency
Key Account Management & KOL Engagement
Build and maintain strategic relationships with oncologists, hematologists, and other healthcare professionals in the area
Coordinate medical and commercial activities across reference hospitals and oncology centers
Partner with the Medical team to organize symposia, clinical data presentations, and educational events
Compliance & Ethics
Ensure full adherence to Lilly's internal policies, Code of Conduct, and applicable local and European pharmaceutical regulations
Oversee team promotional activities for compliance with approved materials and advertising legislation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher
Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 2 years in oncology or related specialties
Strong knowledge of the Romanian hospital environment and oncology ecosystem
Solid understanding of oncology: cancer types, mechanisms of action, treatment modalities, ESMO/NCCN guidelines
Strong analytical skills — sales data, market indicators, and business performance
Experience with CRM systems ; digital and omnichannel proficiency
Authentic leadership with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop high-performing teams
Strategic thinker with a results-driven, entrepreneurial mindset
Native Romanian; advanced English (written and spoken)
Valid category B driving license; willingness to travel extensively (~90% field-based)
