Arista Advanced Pet Care is building something different in veterinary medicine:
Arista is a clinician-owned, shared-ownership, multi-specialty ER model. Each hospital is owned and operated by a core group of doctors who work on the floor. Decisions stay local and practical. Medicine comes first. People matter.
We’re looking for a relationship-driven Emergency Clinician Recruiter to help us find our people, early career and seasoned ER doctors, who want to work in happy hospitals with systems that support sustainable careers.
What You’ll Do
This is not a post-and-pray recruiting job. This is relationship work.
You will:
Build and own a pipeline of experienced emergency clinicians for current and future Arista hospitals
Leverage your existing veterinary network (and build new ones) to find ER doctors who may not be actively job-hunting
Have real, honest conversations about what clinicians actually want
Partner closely with hospital leadership and clinician owners to understand culture, team dynamics, and clinical needs
Guide candidates through a high-touch hiring process that treats them like a friend, not a commodity
Represent Arista at conferences, on campuses, and in hospitals as a true brand ambassador
You’ll also play a key role in our early-career and pipeline efforts, including:
Building relationships with vet schools, internships, and residencies
Participating in panels, lunch-and-learns, externship programs, and networking events
Helping students and trainees understand what working in a locally owned hospital looks and feels like
What Success Looks Like
15–20 emergency clinicians placed per year
A warm, active pipeline of ER doctors for current and future hospital openings
Strong visibility and reputation for Arista across ER, internship, and residency communities
Clinicians who say, “That was the most unique recruiting experience I’ve had.”
Who You Are
This role works for either a DVM or a seasoned veterinary recruiter.
If you’re a DVM:
You’ve worked in ER and/or specialty medicine
You know the culture, the pressures, and the personalities
You’re comfortable speaking to students, interns, residents, and senior clinicians
You love mentorship, connection, and big-picture thinking about the profession
If you’re not a DVM:
You’ve spent 5+ years recruiting in the veterinary ER/specialty world
You know how nuanced clinician hiring is and why trust matters
You’ve successfully managed complex, multi-stakeholder searches
You have credibility and genuine relationships in the veterinary space
For everyone:
You’re an excellent communicator; warm, direct, and authentic
You’re highly organized and comfortable juggling multiple searches and relationships
You’re resourceful, persistent, and not afraid to open new doors
You believe veterinary medicine deserves better systems and better careers
You’re excited about reconnecting clinicians with healthy, innovative hospitals
Logistics
Location: Flexible / Remote
Travel: ~50% (conferences, campus visits, hospital visits, Home Office time)
Reports to: Senior Director of Veterinary Recruiting
