Estate Planning/Real Estate Paralegal (1099 Independent Contractor)

Knoxville Paralegal Services (KPS) $30/hour | Remote | ~40 Hours/Month Knoxville Paralegal Services (KPS) is a virtual paralegal company supporting attorneys nationwide. We provide reliable, high-level paralegal support so attorneys can focus on practicing law—not managing tasks. We are currently seeking an experienced Estate Planning/Real Estate Paralegal to support two attorney clients on a consistent, part-time basis. Position Details • Status: 1099 Independent Contractor • Pay: $30/hour • Hours: Approximately 40 hours per month total (combined for two clients) • Location: Fully remote • Practice Area: Estate Planning and Real Estate/Transactional Responsibilities • Draft and manage Estate Planning–related legal documents (Will, DHPOA, POA, etc.) • Draft and manage Real Estate-related legal documents (leases, 1031's, contracts, etc.) • Legal Research • Draft Briefs • Template creations/firm organization • Maintain accurate and well-organized electronic case files • Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, courts and opposing counsel • Track deadlines and proactively follow up on outstanding items • Manage cases, tasks, and documents in Clio • Provide consistent, dependable support to assigned attorney clients Required Qualifications • Prior estate planning and real estate paralegal experience (required) • Clio experience (required) • Experience with collection process (judgments, execution of judgments, etc.) • Strong drafting, organizational, and time-management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication • Tech-savvy and comfortable working in cloud-based systems • Able to work independently with minimal supervision • Comfortable working as a 1099 independent contractor • Attention to detail is a MUST (pay attention to pronouns, court locations, etc. within pleadings) • True understanding of WHY you are doing what you're doing Why Work With KPS • Fully remote, flexible work • Consistent monthly hours • Established systems and workflows • Professional, respectful attorney clients • Opportunity to work with a growing virtual paralegal company Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Pay: From $30.00 per hour Benefits: • Flexible schedule • Work from home Experience: • Real estate law: 10 years (Required) • Estate planning: 10 years (Required) Shift availability: • Day Shift (Preferred) Work Location: Remote
