You'll be responsible for providing top-notch support to our customers, handling a wide range of inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. If you're a customer-centric individual with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for communication, we want to hear from you! **Key Responsibilities:** * Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, or in-person, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner * Process customer payments, prepare bills, and make adjustments as needed * Handle work orders for service disconnections, reconnections, and new orders * Read and record meters and water usage * Process requests to turn water service on and off * Establish and maintain customer accounts, ensuring accurate account information * Input and query databases to make financial adjustments and prorate changes * Perform field work, including installing new meters, repairing leaks, and assisting with emergency repairs * Assist with special projects and other related duties as needed **Other Responsibilities:** * Verify credit and deposit information * Review customer correspondence * Provide information about community financial assistance resources * Review income eligibility applications, tax returns, and transcripts * Instruct lower-level employees * Transmit and receive radio communication to and from field personnel **Essential Qualifications:** * Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and verbal) * 1+ year of experience in the water utilities industry or a related field * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management software * Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with customer service software and systems * Knowledge of water utilities regulations and policies * Certification in customer service or a related field * Experience working in a remote or virtual environment **Skills and Competencies:** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks * Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management software * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong customer service skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At careerzynith, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills and careers.
