Job Summary
blithequark is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our Transportation Examination group, a critical part of our Business Intelligence (BI) team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of transportation by analyzing billions of data points to help clients make informed decisions quickly. Key Responsibilities
- Work with large, complex, and dynamic datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses and inform critical business decisions quickly.
- Design and implement ETLs (Extract, Transform, Load) or processes that integrate data from multiple sources into a single table.
- Develop data visualizations to monitor and measure the impact of changes and special business challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, and Product, to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across various projects and systems.
- Utilize scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks, such as reporting, data prioritization, and anomaly detection.
- Document processes and share knowledge with colleagues, mentoring them as you become a Subject Matter Expert.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics).
- Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity.
- Creativity and a customer-centric approach to developing meaningful dashboards and visualizations.
- Business operations experience, with the ability to understand and analyze business issues.
- Supply chain background, preferably with transportation experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with e-commerce operations or package carrier operations.
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with data manipulation tools, such as Knime, Alteryx, R, or Data Prep.
