About the position
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team supporting global brands operations for NARS and Tory Burch. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with cross-functional business partners, providing critical financial insights that drive strategic decision-making across our portfolio of international brands. The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis while contributing to high-impact strategic projects that shape the future of our global brand portfolio.
Responsibilities
• Manage budgeting and reporting processes for US global brand P&L statements
• Conduct comprehensive variance analysis comparing actual performance to budget and forecasts
• Prepare detailed financial commentary explaining performance drivers, trends, and business insights
• Support actualization of budgets and collaborate with business partners on reforecasting cycles
• Analyze profitability of new product launches and provide recommendations
• Evaluate financial impact of product discontinuations and portfolio optimization decisions
• Calculate and maintain gross margin benchmarks across brands and product categories
• Identify and describe key margin drivers, providing actionable insights to improve profitability
• Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to understand business performance
• Partner with business stakeholders to develop accurate forecasts and strategic financial plans
• Support ad-hoc analysis and special projects as business needs arise
• Communicate financial results and insights to various levels of management
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for global brand operations
• Maintain and enhance financial models and reporting templates
• Support month-end close processes and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency
Requirements
• 1-2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related finance roles
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Advanced Excel skills - expert-level proficiency in financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex financial information clearly
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Understanding of P&L dynamics and financial statement analysis
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong business acumen and curiosity about understanding business drivers
