We’re looking for a freelance ghostwriter / thought-leadership writer to help build a founder-led content platform for Olos, a real estate and housing company focused on attainable housing, faith-owned and underutilized land, community impact, and smarter development execution.
The goal is to turn the founder’s expertise into clear, substantive content that positions him as an expert in the space. This is not generic personal-brand content. We need someone who can understand complex topics and translate them into practical, intelligent writing for LinkedIn, newsletters, and occasional long-form articles.
The founder’s content will focus on topics such as:
Attainable housing
Faith-owned and underutilized land
Real estate development
Community impact
Public/private partnerships
Capital stacks and feasibility
Housing supply and execution challenges
AI-enabled real estate analysis
Mission-driven development models
Scope of Work
We are looking for ongoing monthly support. The expected monthly scope includes:
One weekly 45-minute interview/call with the founder
8–12 LinkedIn posts per month
2 newsletter drafts per month
1 long-form article or op-ed draft per month
Development of the founder’s tone, voice, and point of view
Light content calendar support
Repurposing founder interviews into multiple content assets
The ideal writer should be comfortable interviewing a founder, extracting strong ideas, organizing them into a clear narrative, and writing in a voice that sounds thoughtful, direct, and credible.
Ideal Candidate
The right person will have experience with one or more of the following:
Founder/executive ghostwriting
B2B thought leadership
Real estate, housing, urban planning, or development
Impact investing or community development
Nonprofit or faith-based development
Public policy, infrastructure, or economic development
Journalism or editorial writing
We are especially interested in someone who can write with substance and editorial judgment — not generic LinkedIn “inspirational” content.
What We’re Looking For
You should be able to:
Turn a recorded founder conversation into polished content
Capture the founder’s voice without making the content sound overly corporate
Write strong LinkedIn hooks and clear, useful posts
Develop newsletter-style content with a strong point of view
Suggest content angles based on industry trends and company positioning
Understand nuanced topics and simplify them without dumbing them down
Work independently and meet weekly/monthly deadlines
Tone and Style
The writing should be:
Clear
Smart
Practical
Direct
Human
Credible
Insightful
Non-generic
Not overly promotional
Not AI-sounding
The goal is to make the founder known for original thinking around land, housing, development feasibility, and community impact.
Budget
Estimated monthly budget: $1,200–$1,500/month, depending on experience and agreed scope.
Hourly range: $40–$60/hour.
We expect this to be approximately 20–30 hours per month.

2–3 relevant writing samples
Any founder/executive ghostwriting experience
Any experience writing about real estate, housing, impact investing, urban planning, public policy, or similar industries
A brief note on how you would approach the first 30 days
