Job Description: • Maintain, design, and develop custom WordPress functionality • Build and maintain custom plugins using PHP • Build custom WordPress Admin dashboards and reporting tools to track user behavior, training completion, and key platform metrics • Extend WordPress using hooks, filters, actions, custom post types, taxonomies, and metadata • Develop custom WooCommerce functionality and extensions • Develop secure REST API endpoints and integrations • Debug complex production issues across plugins, themes, and WordPress core • Write clean, documented, and testable PHP code • Understand, maintain and troubleshoot the existing WordPress codebase developed by the previous team, resolving issues and implementing enhancements as required. • Maintain, design, and build integrations with: ActiveCampaign, Payment gateways including but not limited to Stripe, Paypal, Venmo, and Braintree, Third-party REST APIs, Plugins like WooCommerce, CartFlows, Gravity Forms, WP Fusion, Webhooks, Internal business systems • Improve Core Web Vitals • Optimise backend performance and database queries • Reduce unnecessary plugin dependencies • Optimise MySQL performance • Configure caching layers • Optimise asset loading and application performance • Improve scalability under increased traffic • Implement and maintain technical SEO best practices • Manage SiteGround hosting environments • Configure staging and production deployments • Troubleshoot server and application issues • Configure DNS, SSL, redirects, cron jobs, and caching • Manage backups and disaster recovery processes • Work with Linux-based hosting environments • Improve application architecture and maintainability • Refactor legacy functionality • Develop reusable internal libraries and services • Review technical implementations and identify improvements • Document systems, integrations, and deployment processes • Participate in technical planning and solution design • Manage when plugins and license expire to ensure timely renewal • Support and extend Elementor where required • Build reusable custom Elementor widgets • Maintain design consistency through reusable templates and the entire site • Collaborate with designers on responsive implementations • Ensure frontend changes follow performance best practices • Diagnose and resolve production bugs and critical issues • Monitor website health and application performance • Maintain plugin and dependency updates • Implement WordPress security best practices • Continuously improve platform reliability, loading speed, SEO and AIO • Audit and document the existing site architecture: theme structure, custom plugins, database schema/custom tables, CartFlows funnels, WooCommerce configuration, and the custom LMS codebase Requirements: • 4+ years of professional WordPress and PHP development experience • Advanced WordPress plugin development • Extensive experience with WordPress hooks, filters, and core APIs • REST API development and integration • WooCommerce development experience • Strong MySQL and SQL optimisation skills • JavaScript (ES6+) knowledge • HTML5 and CSS3 • Git version control • Linux server management experience Benefits:
