Graphic Designer/Art Director

About the position Our client is looking for a nimble, execution-focused Graphic Designer / Art Director to join their creative studio on a contract basis. You'll work across a high volume of supplemental projects — adapting assets, resizing images, and turning around polished design and production updates quickly while staying true to the brand. This is a fast-paced, heads-down production role. The ideal candidate hits the ground running, absorbs brand guidelines rapidly, and thrives on variety. Experience working within a banking or financial services brand environment is a strong plus. Responsibilities • Resize, reformat, and adapt existing creative assets across digital and print specifications • Execute quick-turn design and image production updates with accuracy and brand fidelity • Support a broad range of supplemental projects — expect variety and multiple small deliverables at once • Internalize the client's brand standards rapidly and apply them consistently across all work • Collaborate with art directors, producers, and brand leads to deliver polished, on-brand output • Contribute light motion design updates when needed • Manage your projects on time with the client, flag blockers proactively, and deliver on time. • Check in with the manager to assure you are meeting the needs of the project. Requirements • 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, art direction, or a related creative production role • Expert-level proficiency in Figma • Demonstrated ability to move quickly without sacrificing quality — speed and precision matter equally here • Strong image production skills: resizing, retouching, optimizing across formats and platforms • Basic to intermediate motion/animation skills • Sharp eye for brand consistency — you notice when something is off and you fix it • Experience working on or within a banking, financial services, or similarly regulated brand is a plus • Comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment with minimal hand-holding • A portfolio demonstrating range, brand sensitivity, and production quality — required at time of application Nice-to-haves • Familiarity with banking or financial services visual identity systems • Experience in an in-house creative studio or agency handling high-volume production work • Working knowledge of digital ad specs, social media formats, and OOH/print production requirements • Comfort with file handoff workflows, naming conventions, and asset management best practices
