Role Description As our Patient Services Professional, you will be the welcoming voice and central administrative support, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations through diverse engagements. • Manage phone customer service and distribute communications. • Handle patient information like demographics, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling. • Process referrals, authorizations, pre-registrations, and other clerical tasks. • Communicate results, enter medication requests, and document in the Electronic Health Records. • Answer, screen, and process a high volume of incoming calls professionally. • Schedule and cancel patient appointments for multiple providers. • Utilize and adhere to a phone script, clinical decision trees, and scheduling criteria. • Update patients on the status of their referrals or authorizations. • Communicate complex exam preparation instructions to patients and physicians' offices. • Send out accurate and complete communication to healthcare providers. Qualifications • High School Graduate General Studies and experience with computer systems, including web-based applications, upon hire. • High School GED General Studies and experience with computer systems, including web-based applications, upon hire. • 1-3 years minimum of two (2) years experience in a patient-focused healthcare environment or high volume multichannel contact center, upon hire. • Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or military training equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program, upon hire. • Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire. • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire. • Certified Medical Assistant AMCA, upon hire. • Certified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire. • National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire. • Registered Medical Assistant, upon hire. • National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire. • Registered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire. • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire. Requirements • Must live in or around Erlanger/Lexington Kentucky. • May be required to attend training or meetings on site. • Possess exceptional communication skills. • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Proficiency in relevant systems and adaptability in handling information.
