Job Overview
We are a budding group private practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert psychological support to adult individuals and/or couples across diverse age groups and backgrounds, fostering resilience and promoting mental well-being. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges through evidence-based therapies and personalized care plans. Duties
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
• Deliver individual and/or couples therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, DBT, ACT, Gottman Method, ERP, PTET, and/or others.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage urgent mental health situations effectively, ensuring client safety and stability.
• Maintain medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on cases to coordinate care plans and support patient recovery.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling sessions while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare standards.
Qualifications
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure or certification as a Psychotherapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or equivalent credential.
• Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and crisis management.
• Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnosis documentation; CPT coding knowledge is a plus.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling practices.
• Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient care planning, case management, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
