About the position
The Institutional Effectiveness Specialist III works independently to support
the Office of Research and Policy Analysis (ORPA) by conducting applied research
and producing high-quality research reports and briefs. The position focuses on
translating complex data into actionable insights that inform institutional
decision-making, policy development, and strategic initiatives across KCTCS.
This role emphasizes research design, survey development and administration, and
the preparation of clear, well-supported written research products. The position
also collaborates closely with ORPA and college staff on systemwide and
college-level research projects.
Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are
term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on
performance.
KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of
3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and
may be modified or terminated at any time.
Responsibilities
• Collaboratively produces data reports and summaries to support continuous
improvement in institutional and program effectiveness, policy development, and
KCTCS initiatives.
• Conducts analyses and develops visualizations of student-, institution-, and
system-level data using software
such as Power BI, Stata, R, and Microsoft Excel.
• Collaborates cross-functionally to facilitate internal data collection and
dissemination through survey
development/administration using survey software.
• Collaborates with ORPA, college, and external staff on planning and developing
research and training initiatives.
• Responds to ad hoc requests for research and data analysis, including working
with stakeholders to understand needs and finalizing requests with the
creation/maintenance of logic and procedural documentation; other duties as
assigned.
• Develops and validates student outcome metrics.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
