Job Description:
Lead, Program Planner supporting a large, long-term program. Duties include managing the development and maintenance of complex program schedules including resource loading, cost/schedule integration, and schedule analysis. This position also supports the programs in developing plans and integrating inputs from all programs. Qualified candidates will interface with all elements of the program team to develop and support regular maintenance of the program integrated master schedule. The position will require occasional travel to L3 and supplier locations.
Essential Functions:
Develop, maintain, and coordinate Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives.
Perform schedule analysis in support of assigned programs or projects. Ensures major projects and program schedules are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality.
Perform Schedule Risk Analysis, integrate Subcontractor effort, identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts.
Utilize Gantt, milestone charts, Critical and Driving paths, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
Ensure compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines.
Lead and participate in scheduling status reviews.
Coordinate with Control Account Managers (CAMs) and cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) members in the development, maintenance, and analysis of work package schedules.
Work within a team environment to provide insights into program scheduling trends and best practices to assist program teams with formulating achievable program schedules
Manage Risk and Opportunity in the IMS
End-to-end ownership of maintenance and coordination of schedule integration between supplemental schedules, the IMS, and the Program Summary Master Schedule.
Identify and recommend insightful mitigation plans, to ensure the IMS is used as a predictive model and remains a valued management tool for the program.
Simultaneously support multiple schedules of varying complexity
Develops process improvements to achieve program goals.
Mentor program teams and CAMs in schedule best practices and Earned Value methodologies
Must be willing to travel to various subcontractor/supplier sites
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 9 years planning experience or 7 years minimum related experience with graduate degree. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered
Demonstrated Experience on programs with responsibility for development and execution of the IMS, including setup, baseline management and update/maintenance, schedule analysis, critical path analysis, SRAs, and CDRL deliveries.
Experience with schedule health metrics (e.g. DCMA 14-point check) and Schedule Metric Analysis – such as CEI, BEI, CPLI, SPI, etc.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Familiarity with DOD contracts and requirements
Able to work within tight deadlines and multi-task various projects in an organized manner required
Critical thinking and problem solving, attention to detail and quality of product deliverables
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Word and PowerPoint
Familiarity with external EVMS reporting and related requirements
Experience with MS Project to Cobra cost/schedule integration
Experience with FullMonte SRA, SSI Tool, and OnePager Pro
