We are hiring a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant to support our Litigation team in Oakland. This is a hybrid role: three days in-office and two days remote each week.
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys supporting multiple attorneys, staying organized, and producing high-quality work in a busy legal environment. Experience supporting Trust & Estates and/or Intellectual Property matters is a plus.
Responsibilities
• Support multiple attorneys with day-to-day administrative and litigation-related tasks
• Manage calendars, scheduling, deadlines, and court docketing
• Format, proofread, and finalize legal documents and correspondence
• Conduct online research (e.g., PACER, court and agency databases)
• Assist with conflict checks and retention letters
• Communicate with clients and colleagues by phone, email, and in person
• Organize and maintain files; prepare case binders and related materials
• Submit court filings, including e-filing
• Track CLE requirements and coordinate projects with other departments as needed
Requirements
• 5+ years
of litigation legal administrative assistant experience
• Strong command of the English language (spelling, grammar, and formatting)
• Ability to prioritize, follow through, and manage deadlines across multiple matters
• Comfortable working with confidential information
• Ability to prepare tables of contents and tables of authorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), DocuSign, and Adobe or Kofax
• High school diploma or equivalent
Nice-to-haves
• Trust & Estates and/or Intellectual Property support experience
• Experience with iManage and/or Intapp
