Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in providing high-quality telehealth mental health services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver psychotherapy and support to diverse populations remotely, utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed care. Experience with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a plus, enhancing your ability to address trauma-related conditions effectively. Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately document client conditions.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions addressing a wide range of mental health issues including PTSD, grief, addiction, behavioral challenges, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and gender issues counseling.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and crisis intervention strategies.
• Utilize telehealth technology efficiently to deliver engaging sessions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality.
• Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating medical terminology and behavioral health best practices; monitor progress through data collection and medical records documentation.
• Provide direct support during emergencies involving mental health or behavioral crises.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, medical professionals, special education providers, and research teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Experience
• Valid licensure as an LMHC or LCSW with ACTIVE state license; experience in clinical counseling or social work preferred.
• Proven experience delivering psychotherapy via telehealth platforms; familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards required.
• Strong background in working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics or individuals with disabilities; experience with inpatient or outpatient settings is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology relevant to mental health care.
• Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, behavior management techniques, addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using DSM criteria; familiarity with special education needs and working within multidisciplinary teams enhances effectiveness.
