Join AIR's Healthcare Transformation team as a Medicaid and Medicare Policy Researcher to lead projects addressing complex health policy challenges related to coverage, care delivery, and health equity. This role contributes to evidence-based policy design and program evaluation supporting federal and state partners in improving outcomes for vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as a task and project leader on health policy research and evaluation initiatives, conducting qualitative and quantitative research to inform Marketplace, Medicaid, and Medicare policy design and system transformation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide technical assistance and applied analytics on coverage, care delivery, operations, and cost containment issues.
Skills & Tools: Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and health insurance marketplace policies with demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods. Proficiency in data analysis, policy evaluation, and the ability to work collaboratively with federal and state agencies, particularly CMS.
Qualifications: Background working with state and federal agencies on health policy, particularly CMS, with expertise in health policy research and program evaluation. Advanced degree in public health, health policy, economics, or related field preferred with relevant professional experience.
