Profile Summary
The Microsoft Cloud Project Consultant is responsible for leading the design, planning, and delivery of cloud-based IT projects. This role ensures that solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with client business objectives. The consultant works closely with clients and internal teams, managing projects from initial assessment through implementation and transition to support.
Success in this role requires strong technical expertise in Microsoft cloud technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to present complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:
1. Presales & Solution Design
Conduct technical assessments of client IT infrastructure to support accurate project scoping
Recommend infrastructure improvements aligned with business needs
Design cloud and infrastructure solutions to enable cost estimation and proposal development
Provide technical input to sales teams, including timelines, risks, and resource requirements
2. Project Planning
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, risks, contingencies, and resource allocation
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure alignment on project scope and deliverables
Maintain commercial awareness and assess impact on timelines and costs
3. Project Implementation
Define clear project scope, deliverables, and expectations with clients
Execute technical implementations independently or as part of a team
Act as the primary client contact, providing updates and managing expectations
Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure seamless delivery
Manage project changes and exceptions, including commercial considerations
Ensure proper documentation and smooth handover to support teams post-implementation
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of infrastructure changes and project activities
Log time and updates in internal systems
Produce high-quality documentation, including architecture diagrams and reports
5. Customer Engagement
Deliver a high standard of customer service
Build strong client relationships through professional and proactive communication
6. Team Contribution & Development
Continuously develop technical expertise and pursue relevant certifications
Mentor and support team members in developing technical skills
Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and industry trends
7. General Responsibilities
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Support audits, reviews, and ongoing client initiatives

Qualifications
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Required certifications:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-102) or Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102)
Microsoft Windows Server (AZ-800, AZ-801)
Preferred certifications:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
Microsoft 365 Security Administrator (SC-300)
Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140)
Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900)
ITIL Foundation
Experience & Skills
Proven experience delivering IT infrastructure or cloud projects
Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 solution design and implementation
Experience with cloud migrations (e.g., Office 365, Azure)
Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure, and cloud technologies
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Strong documentation and presentation abilities
