Mid-Level QA Engineer

Job summary Kenkeputa is hiring a Mid-Level QA Engineer to help improve software reliability, stability, testing discipline, and release quality across our ecosystem of products, including Vendorizeme (VDM), OutNabout (ONA), and Tekkas platforms. Min Qualification: Degree Experience Level: Mid level Experience Length: 3 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 9 to 5 Applicant Location: Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements Responsibilities: Manual Testing & Quality Assurance: • Test web and mobile applications across multiple devices and environments • Identify bugs, regressions, usability issues, and edge cases • Validate feature completeness before releases • Perform exploratory testing and structured test execution Test Planning & Documentation: • Create detailed test cases and test plans • Develop regression testing processes • Maintain QA documentation and bug-tracking discipline • Help establish release-readiness standards Regression & Stability Testing: • Lead regression testing efforts before production releases • Ensure previously fixed bugs do not recur • Support software stabilization and hardening initiatives • Improve overall product reliability and consistency Collaboration & Process Improvement: • Work closely with engineers, product managers, and operations • Reproduce bugs clearly and provide actionable reports • Participate in sprint planning and release reviews • Help improve the overall engineering quality culture Automation Support (Preferred): • Assist with basic test automation initiatives where possible • Help identify repetitive testing processes suitable for automation • Support long-term QA scalability initiatives Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of QA or software testing experience • Experience testing mobile and/or web applications • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies • Experience writing detailed bug reports and test cases • Familiarity with regression testing processes • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Excellent attention to detail • Familiarity with Jira, Trello, ClickUp, or similar tools • Extremely detail-oriented • Naturally curious and investigative • Process-driven and organized • Strong communicator • High ownership mentality • Able to think critically about user experience and system behavior • Comfortable balancing speed with quality Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with API testing tools like Postman • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks • Experience testing React Native applications • Experience working in agile startup environments • Familiarity with performance, load, or security testing • Understanding of CI/CD and release pipelines • Experience with test management systems Success Metrics: • Reduced regression rates • Improved release quality and stability • Reduced production bugs • Improved QA process maturity • Faster bug detection cycles • Improved confidence in deployments and releases
