Online Sales Associate; In-Store

Position: Online Sales Associate (In-Store Only) General Summary The E-Commerce Associate is responsible for assisting with the day‑to‑day tasks of Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi's e-commerce business, including identifying, marketing, and processing sales transactions of donated merchandise and used books for online sales, and providing excellent customer service via oral and written communication. Principal Duties & Responsibilities • The E-Commerce Specialist picks, packages, weighs and prepares items sold online for shipment. • Assist with the physical receipt, storage, and evaluation process to determine the value of books and media items. • Enter book descriptions and prices into the software system and handle packaging, shipping, and tracking of items sold through e‑commerce. • Post Shop Goodwill items without assistance when necessary. • Work flexible hours when needed. • Move merchandise from the back room to the processing/posting floor as required. • Ensure a clean work area at the end of each shift. • Assist in security by staying aware of inventory and reporting any suspicious activity or theft to e‑commerce management. • Keep the work area clean and hazard‑free. • Follow company policies and safety procedures. • Maintain regular attendance. • Provide excellent customer service at all times. • Perform a variety of other tasks in the e‑commerce department as necessary to support business needs. • Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required • Market Goodwill and explain its mission to the general public. • Communicate clearly, write, and read in English. • Vision corrected to within normal limits. Requirements • High school graduate or equivalent, or six months to one year of related retail experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • High degree of attention to processes and detail. • Basic to intermediate computer experience, including working knowledge of e‑commerce businesses and software programs such as Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel. • Previous experience writing online auctions and/or an understanding of collectibles such as antiques, brand names, and other items of value (preferred). • Valid Mississippi driver’s license. • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
