What You’ll Do
- Assist in processing semi-monthly payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Review, validate, and reconcile employee timesheet data and payroll reports ahead of processing deadlines
- Process standard bonus, commission, and incentive payments
- Analyze payroll discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to resolve issues efficiently
- Maintain and update accurate employee payroll records, including new hire information and status changes
- Assist in setting up and maintaining state/local municipalities
- Collaborate with the Benefits team to ensure accurate benefit deduction processing and tracking
- Prepares and submits quarterly NYS-Disability/PFL audit
- Prepares and submits 401 (k) Census data
- Generate post-processing reports for the Finance team
- Perform quarterly payroll tax audits to ensure compliance
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner
- Perform additional payroll-related tasks and special projects as assigned
What You’ll Need
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of Workday Payroll and ADP SmartCompliance systems and data interface experience is required
- Basic understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- FPC Certified, preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
