MissionHires is hiring a Residency-Trained Pediatrics Integrated Pharmacist to support high-acuity emergency and critical care units (ED/PICU) in a hospital setting. This hands-on, non-exempt/hourly role follows a consistent 7-on/7-off evening shift schedule, with no on-call. The pharmacist will round with multidisciplinary teams, verify orders, guide clinical decisions, act as a resource to clinicians, and ensure compliant sterile compounding. Ideal candidates bring inpatient pediatric experience, strong communication, and the ability to excel in fast-paced clinical environments.
How You'll Contribute
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with ED and PICU care teams
• Support clinicians with order verification and evidence-based clinical decision-making
• Serve as a pharmacy resource for nursing and physician staff
• Ensure accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance in sterile product compounding
• Contribute to high-quality, timely medication management in emergency and critical care settings
• Collaborate across disciplines to optimize pediatric pharmacotherapy and outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and medication use protocols
What Makes You a Great Fit
• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program (PharmD)
• Completion of a PGY1 residency; PGY2 in Pediatrics highly desirable
• Active Texas Registered Pharmacist license
• Sterile compounding certification from an accredited program
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute care experience; pediatric or NICU exposure preferred
• PALS certification preferred
• Board certification (e.g., BCPPS, BCPPS-Pediatrics) preferred
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric care areas such as General Pediatrics, NICU, PICU, or ED
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure clinical environments with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Availability for a consistent 7-on/7-off evening shift; no on-call required
