Power Platform Engineer (Automation & AI Solutions)
Hybrid (Columbia, MD or Houston, TX preferred) | Full Remote considered
We’re looking for a hands-on Power Platform expert who can also lead and grow a small team. This is a “player-coach” role where you’ll split your time between building solutions and guiding projects and people.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys owning projects, improving systems, and helping a team scale.
Position Responsibilities:
Build & Deliver (50%)
• Design and develop solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Platform
• Troubleshoot and improve existing Power Platform environments
• Work on client-facing automation and AI-driven projects
• Support initiatives involving Power BI, Copilot, and Microsoft ecosystem tools
Lead & Support (15–20%)
• Guide a small team (offshore + junior resources)
• Manage KPIs and ensure projects stay on track and profitable
• Run daily check-ins (team huddles, project reviews)
• Ensure proper documentation, time tracking, and project visibility
Scale & Improve (30%)
• Help restructure processes and documentation for growth
• Scope projects and identify new automation opportunities
• Partner with leadership to build out a growing automation/AI function
Ideal Candidate:
Must-Have:
• Strong hands-on experience with: PowerApps Power Automate (Flows)
• Power Platform development Experience leading projects (formal management not required)
• Ability to troubleshoot and improve existing solutions
• Exposure to Azure (intermediate level)
• Strong communication and ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Experience leading a team and/or projects
Nice to Have:
• Experience with Copilot Studio or Microsoft Foundry
• MSP or client-facing environment experience
