Procurement Professional

Job Description: • Perform procurement and supplier management activities in support of U.S. Government and Commercial contracts. • Administer and manage high dollar and complex material and service procurements from both domestic and international suppliers. • Utilize source selection techniques, compile, and analyze data to perform price analyses, conduct negotiations and identify supplier risks. • Ensure that requirements are properly communicated to suppliers and manage supplier performance to cost, schedule, and quality requirements. • Work closely with the program office to identify solutions to sourcing issues. • Monitor procurement reports and help drive performance to meet company metric targets. • Assist in the training of peer procurement professionals as needed. Requirements: • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. • Experience placing purchase orders of medium to high complexity and medium to high dollar values. • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required. • DoD procurement experience and working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations. • Strong negotiation skills. • Proficiency to perform and comprehend price and cost analysis. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated leadership skills. • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically. • Excellent time management skills. • Demonstrated understanding of all phases of sourcing and procurement execution. • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office tools.
