Job Summary:
The Product Manager drives the strategic direction, commercial execution and development of the Brand or Product they manage.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Accountable for the product performance and the monitoring of the external environment and the ongoing analysis of the agreed tactical plans to ensure the positioning and growth of Brand (HCP and Consumer)
Identify area market insights and opportunity via interactions with thought leaders and consultants within Dermatology, Pediatrics or other adjacent treating HCPs
Lead market research programs and market insights for brand and monitor/anticipate market development
Develop insights into actionable programs that have beneficial growth of the brand
Monitor and control brand budgets, forecasts, expenses and assess the marketing mix to evaluate product cost effectiveness and results
Develop product strategy, messaging, advertising, public relations and social media/digital campaigns to create a positive image in support of Brand strategic objectives
Manage the day-to-day execution of brand tactics, linking back to the brand strategy
Ensure consistency of messaging and strategic direction across all communication platforms/channels
Manage market research programs and market insights for brand and monitor/anticipate market development; life-cycle management of brand from a strategic marketing level
Spearhead the development of novel promotional and speaker bureau activities in line with internal compliance guidelines
Establish relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), establish physician advisory boards and participate in industry organizations to maintain awareness of market trends
Partner with medical affairs, regulatory, sales training and commercial analytics to align on strategic deliverables and ensure appropriate staging of scientific and promotional messaging
Manage agency partners and vendors in overseeing the development of core sales materials, tools and resources for effective communication with field representatives, physicians/healthcare professionals and consumers
Collaborate with Market Access, Sales and commercial leadership to ensure the patient experience is incorporated into core strategy and tactical execution plans
Liaise with sales force and sales management/training in effective development of training and marketing materials
Advocate for promotional brand strategy and alignment with the internal program/material review team (Medical, Legal, Regulatory)
Use knowledge of economic, financial, market and industry trends to understand and improve individual, work group and/or organizational results
Other duties as assigned
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Marketing or Marketing Communications, Management or other related business discipline highly preferred and/or combination of education and experience
Ability to understand changing dynamics of pharmaceutical industry
Must be a digital native and possess documented social media marketing acumen
Ability to travel to medical conferences, National Sales Meetings, Plan of Action Meetings and for field rides with sales territory representatives or managers
Minimum 5+ years of healthcare, pharmaceutical or related product marketing or marketing communications commercial experience and/or leadership experience (pharmaceutical sales experience highly desired, but not required)
Minimum 3 years of Dermatology, Pediatrics or related therapeutic area experience preferred
