Description:
• Prepare planning and design documents in the appropriate engineering discipline.
• Perform process design calculations, prepare cost estimates, and use economic analyses to compare alternatives.
• Assist with developing project scope, schedules, initiation paperwork, budget reviews, and progress reports.
• Coordinate projects with other Olsson teams and perform design aspects of projects.
• Direct team members on design tasks and maintain project records, including correspondence, drawings, and files.
• Communicate progress and issues to project managers and coordinate with clients and client meetings.
• Assist with marketing and business development activities, including proposal writing.
• Serve as project manager on small projects when needed.
• Independently perform assignments on complex projects.
• Coordinate the work of assistant, associate professional, and technical staff, and may supervise student or technical staff.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 6 or more years of related civil engineering experience.
• Must be a registered Professional Engineer.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
• Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and regulatory approvals.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D.
• Ability to travel for in-office activities, client visits, and site visits as needed.
• Experience with multidisciplinary site development projects is preferred.
• Ability to work hybrid, remotely, or from an Olsson office location in the specified regions/areas.
