Project Manager / Estimator - High & Medium Voltage Construction
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager / Estimator specializing in High & Medium Voltage (HV/MV) construction projects. This role is pivotal in overseeing project execution from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, construction management, and estimation, with a proven track record in managing complex HV/MV projects.
Responsibilities
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources allocation.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for HV/MV construction projects.
• Review project specifications and blueprints to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and optimize project costs.
• Track project expenses, prepare budget forecasts, and manage financial aspects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including engineers and technicians.
• Resolve technical issues and challenges promptly to minimize project delays.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in HV/MV construction.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Communicate project status, milestones, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Prepare regular progress reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications.
• Conduct inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with design requirements.
• Implement corrective actions and improvements based on lessons learned and feedback.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager and Estimator in HV/MV construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, AutoCAD).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and installation practices.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP) and/or Estimating (CEP) is a plus.
• Ability to travel to project sites and work in varying environments as required.
