About the Role Our client, a national leader in the logistics and distribution sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Purchasing Analyst to join their procurement team. This is an excellent fully remote opportunity for an individual looking to contribute to optimizing purchasing processes and driving cost efficiencies across the organization. Based anywhere within the US , you will leverage your analytical skills to support strategic sourcing, manage supplier data, and generate insightful reports. Key Responsibilities Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement. Support the procurement team in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for various spend categories. Maintain and update supplier databases, ensuring accuracy of information, pricing, and performance metrics. Assist in the preparation of requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and other sourcing documents. Monitor supplier performance against contracts and service level agreements (SLAs), and report on findings. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely fulfillment. Prepare regular reports and presentations on purchasing activities, key performance indicators (KPIs), and market intelligence. Assist in the reconciliation of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts. Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures. Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or analytical role. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software is a plus. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a remote setting. Understanding of procurement principles and supply chain operations.
