The Account Manager is a strategic partner responsible for supporting new and existing business and achieving successful implementation of curriculum solutions.
Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed assigned territory goals and performance expectations
- Partner closely with Account Executive(s) or Regional Manager(s) to manage renewals, expansion opportunities, and new business generation
- Territory organization, planning, and execution
- Maintain a clean and accurate CRM (HubSpot), including contacts, deal management, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Schedule and coordinate demos, presentations, meetings, and follow-up activities
- Support sales trip planning, conference coordination, and territory logistics
- Generate and support new business leads through referrals, cold calling, and email campaigns
- Track and report on key performance metrics, including calls, meetings, deals, and pipeline activity
- Maintain deep knowledge of assigned territory accounts, products, initiatives, and timelines
- Suggest and support strategies to improve territory growth and sales performance
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Participate in professional development, not less than 12 hours per year
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales support, account management, inside sales, or customer service
- Strong verbal and written communication skills—you will spend your day writing and talking
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives
- Service- and relationship-oriented mindset
- Ability to adapt quickly and problem-solve proactively
- Strong ownership mentality
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new tools quickly
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with HubSpot CRM or Zendesk is preferred but not required
