Insight Global is seeking an AWS Cloud Financial Operations Analyst to support the financial management and governance of their enterprise cloud platform during a migration from VMware to AWS. The role involves analyzing AWS costs, building financial models, and collaborating with various teams to ensure cost-effective cloud operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the financial management, optimization, and governance of their enterprise cloud platform
- Partner closely with cloud engineering, infrastructure, and technology leadership teams to provide visibility into cloud consumption and spending
- Focus on analyzing AWS costs, building financial models and forecasts, identifying optimization opportunities, and driving cost-accountability initiatives across the organization
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in FinOps, technology finance, cloud financial management, or IT financial analysis
- Experience supporting AWS environments and understanding consumption-based cloud pricing models
- Experience with AWS cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, AWS Cost & Usage Reports (CUR), Cloudability, CloudHealth etc
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, specifically using Power BI, Tableau or SQL
- Experience partnering with infrastructure and cloud engineering teams during cloud transformation or migration initiatives
- Experience supporting VMware-to-AWS migrations or large-scale cloud modernization efforts
- FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) and/or AWS Cloud certification
- Cloud governance or lead experience
