Responsibilities
- Build and develop robust ETL pipelines, creating accessible and well-structured datasets in a Data Lake
- Ensure data pipelines are reliable, monitored, and automatically report issues
- Enable programmatic access to data for Data Scientists and analytics teams
- Optimise performance of business-critical pipelines, defining and tracking key metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate subject matter expertise into data solutions
- Define requirements for data linkage and quality checks to enable automated pre-processing
- Support best practices through participation in design discussions and code reviews
- Communicate insights and findings clearly to a range of stakeholdersdescribe main responsibility
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/data pipelines
- Proficiency in data engineering tools and languages such as SQL and Python
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (ideally Microsoft Azure)
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as DataBricks
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
