Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ridge is focused on developing a strong people strategy and is seeking a Director of People Operations. This role involves overseeing all aspects of people management, including recruiting, culture building, and employee development, while collaborating with senior leadership to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting across all levels and functions, partnering with hiring managers to define requirements, manage pipelines, and close candidates while staying within budget
- Lead organizational design efforts to ensure the right people are in the right roles, managing a lean and efficient headcount structure as the company scales
- Develop and execute onboarding and offboarding processes that set team members up for success from day one
- Lead learning and development initiatives including training programs, mentorship, and career growth opportunities
- Build and maintain systems to identify, retain, and reward high performers — including recognition programs, compensation strategies, and career pathing
- Drive culture programming including team engagement initiatives and the annual company retreat
- Conduct regular people check-ins and pulse surveys to monitor employee sentiment and proactively address concerns
- Oversee compensation reviews, ensuring pay equity and alignment with market benchmarks
- Manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience
- Own and optimize the company's HRIS and hardware infrastructure, ensuring systems are accurate, scalable, and support day-to-day operations
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across all geographies where Ridge operates
- Partner with senior leadership on ad hoc organizational projects, headcount planning, and people strategy
Skills
- 7+ years of experience in a senior HR or People Operations leadership role
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compensation benchmarking
- Experience managing full-cycle recruiting, payroll, and benefits administration
- Proven ability to build and scale people programs in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism
- Strategic thinker and collaborative partner, comfortable influencing at all levels of an organization
- Proficient in GSuite, Notion, Slack, Loom, N8N and other AI tools
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
