Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GRT Corporation is building a new industrial IoT sensor device and is seeking an experienced embedded firmware partner to collaborate on designing, building, testing, and delivering the device firmware. The role involves working with embedded C firmware, real-time operating systems, and ensuring secure cloud connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Embedded C firmware on an ARM Cortex-M class microcontroller, on a custom PCB that is already designed and frozen
- A real-time operating system (RTOS) architecture with multiple concurrent tasks
- High-rate sensor data acquisition over SPI/DMA, plus on-device signal processing (FFT)
- Secure connectivity to the cloud — MQTT over TLS, using a hardware secure element
- Written to a recognized safety-critical coding standard (MISRA C), with a clear test and acceptance plan
- From detailed specification through to a production-ready, field-reliable build

- Location: we'd prefer a partner in the Czech Republic, but we're also open to teams in the USA and India
