Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is a technology consulting services company based in Florida, seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist. This role will support employee relations and performance management initiatives, acting as a trusted partner to supervisors and managers by providing guidance on employee performance concerns and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR resource for supervisors and managers on employee relations and performance-related matters
- Guide managers through corrective action processes, performance improvement plans (PIPs), disciplinary actions, and termination procedures
- Ensure all employee performance and disciplinary cases are thoroughly documented and compliant with company policies
- Partner with employees and leadership to resolve workplace concerns while promoting a positive employee experience
- Act as an employee advocate by addressing HR-related inquiries and providing timely guidance
- Maintain accurate employee records within the organization's Human Capital Management (HCM) system
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to track HR metrics, employee actions, and reporting
- Collaborate with operational leaders to support workforce management initiatives
- Assist in redesigning and enhancing HR Business Partner (HRBP) support processes
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience, preferably in employee relations, HR operations, or performance management
- Experience supporting managers with employee performance issues and corrective action processes
- Hands-on experience preparing and maintaining documentation for disciplinary actions and employee terminations
- Experience working with PeopleSoft HR or another HCM/HRIS platform (Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, ADP, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to build relationships and effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Demonstrated accountability with the ability to own tasks from initiation through completion
- Experience supporting employees in Claims, Enrollment, Healthcare, or Customer Service environments
- Experience working in high-volume operational or shared services environments
- Knowledge of HR policies, employee relations practices, and performance management processes
