The Mobile App Developer will work on building next-generation DeFi trading applications, primarily focusing on the React Native mobile app, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve features for our React Native mobile application
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
- Build scalable, maintainable, and well-tested mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript
- Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs and services
- Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and reliability across both iOS and Android platforms
- Monitor and triage issues reported through Linear, investigate bugs, and work closely with the team to prioritize and resolve them in a timely manner
- Take ownership of reported issues by troubleshooting root causes and delivering reliable fixes to ensure a stable, high-quality mobile experience
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Stay up to date with modern mobile development practices and emerging technologies
Skills
- 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong React and TypeScript fundamentals
- Professional experience developing mobile applications with React Native
- Solid understanding of iOS and Android platforms, including their differences and mobile development best practices
- Experience integrating applications with backend APIs
- Experience with Node.js
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Experience with gRPC and/or Server-Sent Events (SSE) is a strong plus
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and clean code principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be fluent in English
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience building fintech, trading, or cryptocurrency applications
- Familiarity with blockchain, Web3, or DeFi technologies
- Experience publishing applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Experience optimizing mobile application performance and debugging production issues
