Turing is a leading research accelerator for frontier AI labs, and they are seeking an experienced News Analyst, Reporter & Journalist to work on projects that evaluate and improve AI using newsroom expertise. The role involves designing editorial scenarios, writing analyses, and collaborating with AI researchers.
Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate real-world editorial and reporting scenarios to test AI reasoning and writing quality
- Write clear, structured analyses for journalism-related tasks such as article structuring, news verification, and bias detection
- Evaluate AI responses for factual accuracy, ethical integrity, and adherence to journalistic standards
- Collaborate with AI researchers to strengthen model understanding of news production, editorial judgment, and storytelling quality
Skills
- 4+ years of experience as a journalist, reporter, editor, or news analyst
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (completed or in progress) in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field
- Strong English writing, editing, and reasoning skills
- Ability to explain complex journalistic and media concepts clearly and concisely
