We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our remote telephone triage team. This role requires extensive pediatric experience in a clinical setting, strong assessment skills, and the ability to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate pediatric care over the phone. As part of our triage team, the RN ensures patients receive timely medical guidance while collaborating with providers to deliver the highest standard of care.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Active RN license - compact and CA at minimum (Oregon is a plus)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical pediatric experience
• Proficiency in EMR systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in telephone triage or remote patient care
• Familiarity with Schmitt-Thompson protocols
• Experience with diverse patient populations across the lifespan
Responsibilities:
• Conduct remote patient assessments and provide triage advice
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals
• Process prescription refills and prior authorizations
• Document accurately in patient records
• Provide education and counseling to patients
• Adhere to clinical guidelines and compliance standards
Skills:
This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and empathy in patient interactions with the pediatric population. The ability to provide safe, accurate, and timely telephone triage is essential for ensuring positive pediatric patient outcomes.
