About Goode Education Group Goode Education Group (GEG) is a private career school delivering online workforce certification programs funded through WIOA and county workforce development sources. Our Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) program prepares adult learners to pass the NHA certification exam and launch careers in pharmacy. We are outcomes-driven, student-focused, and growing. About the Role We are not looking for someone to read slides. We need an instructor who shows up every session with energy, clarity, and a genuine investment in student success. Our students are adult learners — many of them balancing work, family, and school simultaneously. They need an instructor who can break down complex concepts, keep them engaged through a three-hour evening session, and make them feel capable of passing their CPhT exam. If that describes how you teach, we want to hear from you. Schedule • Monday through Thursday, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Eastern (required) • Optional Friday office hours available • Fully remote via video conferencing • Candidates nationwide are welcome — you must be available during Eastern time hours Responsibilities • Deliver live, virtual instruction aligned with the NHA CPhT exam blueprint • Create a dynamic, engaging classroom environment where adult learners feel supported and challenged • Use real-world pharmacy scenarios, case studies, and practice questions to reinforce concepts — not just lecture • Check for understanding throughout every session using quizzes, discussion, and verbal checks • Proactively identify and reach out to students who are falling behind — don't wait for them to come to you • Maintain accurate attendance and participation records in compliance with WIOA standards • Coordinate with GEG staff on student progress, milestone documentation, and NHA exam readiness • Be present, prepared, and consistent — every session, every week Required Qualifications • Active NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential in good standing • Minimum 2 years of hands-on pharmacy experience (retail, hospital, or specialty) • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate adult learners — virtual or in-person • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex material clearly and patiently • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional, distraction-free remote environment • Must be available 6:00–9:00 PM Eastern, Monday through Thursday Preferred Qualifications • Prior teaching, tutoring, or workforce training experience • Familiarity with WIOA-funded programs or adult education populations • Experience with Zoom, Google Meet, or similar virtual platforms • Comfortable adapting instruction in real time based on student energy and comprehension Compensation Competitive and commensurate with experience. Details discussed during the interview process. This is a part-time independent contractor position. How to Apply We believe the best way to evaluate fit is to see you in your element so in addition to your resume, we ask all candidates to submit a short demo lesson. This is your opportunity to show us how you teach, not just what you know. Submit the following to [email protected] Subject Line: CPhT Instructor Application – [Your Name] • Your resume • A 3–5 minute demo lesson video record yourself teaching one of the following topics as if you are in your first week of class with a group of adult learners: • Drug classifications and schedules • Pharmacy abbreviations and sig codes • The role of a pharmacy technician vs. a pharmacist Teach it the way you would actually teach it. Break the concept down, keep your students with you, and show us how you make the material stick. No production quality required: a phone camera is fine. We are evaluating your instruction, not your equipment. Goode Education Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive learning environment for all students and staff.
